Baisakhi Celebration at Guru Nanak International Public School, Model Town

The colourful festival of Baisakhi was marked with gaiety and mirth. It was celebrated on 11th April 2025. The day began with a special assembly wherein the students were enlightened about the significance of the harvest festival for the farming community along with the religious as well as historical importance of the festival.

Afterwards, activities were held for grades IX to XI. Handwriting Competition was organized for the students of grade IX & Slogan Writing Competition was organized for the students of grade X & XI. Its theme was ‘Baisakhi’.

For classes VI to VIII, Inter House Poster Making competition based on Baisakhi was organized. The students showed their innate talent and expression of creativity by making beautiful posters with the help of beads, pulses and threads.

The students of Primary Wing participated with great zeal. They sang songs, recited poems & presented dance on the theme ‘Baisakhi’.

The students learnt values like gratitude to farmers, community celebration & a sense of unity & pride in cultural diversity.
