Independence Day Celebrations at Guru Nanak International Public School, Model Town

The students of Guru Nanak International Public School, Model Town were caught up in the spirit of patriotism and celebrated Independence Day on 14th August, 2019. An important message of "Water Conservation" was brought forward through different events like choreography, Punjabi Poem, Hindi Speech. A pledge was taken by the students to consume water judiciously and wisely, to contribute in saving every drop of water. To commemorate the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters, patriotic group song was sung by the students. A patriotic dance performance created an atmosphere of national pride in the premises of school campus.

Pre-Primary Wing was decorated with tricolor balloons, flags and kites. The students of classes Nursery, I & II enjoyed colouring, drawing and making of the National Flag. LKG students coloured the National Flower and students of UKG made badges of tricolor kites. Class I students spoke a few lines on Independence Day. Besides, a patriotic song was sung by Nursery class students & a group song was sung by students of classes I & II.

Principal Mrs. Gurmant Kaur Gill appreciated the students for their performance in various events. Indeed, it was a day of joy, love, to respect our country and make it a better place for Indians to live.
